About Me:
i have been on Culkin Volunteer Fire for two years. We are an engine company that has three engines. E-206 and E-205 are our primary engines and E-207 is our brush engine but it has seen its fair share of house fires. We run about two calls a week. Our dept. was charterted in 1983 and was orginally just to provide the city fire dept. with water. The name Culkin came from where the first meetings were held at the old Culkin Academy which still stands to this day! Our fire protection district is rapidly growing! We cover three major schools and River Region Hospital along with the aid of the VFD. We train every Monday night starting at 7pm. We also have EMS people in our station! We are just one big family that loves what we do and loves giving back to the community! If you are ever in Vicksburg or drive through be sure to swing by and see what we are really about!!
