About Me:: I'm a 1985 graduate of Stillwater High School, Stillwater, Minnesota. Married to my high school sweet heart. We've been together for 23 years, been married for 15 and a half years. I have 4 children. I am currently a Hudson fire fighter and in charge of the Hudson Explorer Program. I am a certified fire fighter. I attended WITC technical college. for fire fighter 1 & 2. I have a hazmat opperations and first responder. I am looking into taking a bachelors degree in fire science. I own two businesses; a preschool and "Don Can Do It" handy man. Hudson Fire - History Hudson Fire Dept was formed in 1873. The "Great Fire" of 1866 led the community to think about having a better organized and larger department. In 1872 there were several fires that sealed the deal to get an official fire department. On April 3, 1873, the Hudson Fire Department was created. In 1914, the Hudson Fire Department published a small booklet of its activities. Sinse then, the structure of the department has not changed. Until 1977, several methods of alerting fire fighters were used including ringing a bell, and sounding a siren. Each method only had limited results in alerting the fire fighters outside of town. Now all fire fighters have a pager, allowing them to travel greater distances and still receive information about a call. Currently the department has 40 members-all volunteer. The only full time employee is the fire inspector. The department currently responds to 400 calls per year, and that number is growing. All members must be state certified before being voted onto the department. The department currently has 3 engines, one 95 foot ladder truck, 2 tankers, 2 brush trucks, 1 suburban, 1 mini pumper for hazmat/decon and 2 zodiac boats for water rescue. Some of the department's traditions include: participating in local parades; water fights; community education.

ima doin fine thanx Don ! :) hope u doin great! my girls are back at school now and i suppose i will have to nuckle down and look for that job every1 has been moanin at me about finding! its been 14 years since i was working so its a bit daunting! but nvm!! i dont even know what kinda job to start looking for, but it has to be part time like 9 til 4 or something, so that i can be home when my girls get in from school! not that they cant take care of themselves, or that they cant find their way to their aunts house, but ..... lol but whatever i do i guess i will need some kinda training to get back in to the work picture! i was thinking that i might like to do something with computers and designing wallpapers or ecards or somthing of that kind, but again that needs some training cos i am self taught on this thing, no training at all! Our summer was good, we had a faimly wedding last week which was fun, they had laid on a drag artiste (man dressed as a woman who sings) as the entertainment before the disco started, and he was very funny! partially rude jokes cos there were kids around but very funny!. other than that............. house is good, and we are all fine and healthy! good to hear from yah Don!!! tc and be safe my friend! x
