Created 8 months ago Description: Dioxin Central !! I did several special investigations and inspections out there in the late '80s and early '90s. Got to know Marilyn Leistner pretty well; she was the last Mayor and became the trustee for the Federal buyout when that began after the 1983 evacuation. She appears on the History Channel's "Modern Marvels: Engineering Disasters #20," which devotes a 15-minute segment to good ol' TB. I have both the shoulder and pocket patches from the TBPD, and she's gonna get me a badge as well. Maybe the webmaster can make an exception for a civilian and let me put it in the badge spot on my profile...after all, as the State inspector for the place, I basically WAS the police department for 4 years out there.
