ill send you the info on batavia, and ill keep ya posted if i hear of anything on firehire. i know what ya mean, the day i got knocked out of the testing for hefd i felt like i got kicked in the gut, fortunately that was the same day Bartlett was havin thier open house so if cheered me right up. stil stung a bit, but ya gotta keep positive right? :) Hopefully we will be comparin, god willing. ill go and pvt msg you with the info on batavia, website and what not

yeah the colorblind thing is a non issue aside from departments like them, mine is very minimal, they are just really picky. hefd wasnt bad, a 1.5 mi run then the written the next week, if ya passed you got pushed to the physical, it was a kick in the gut but im stayin positive, startin my emt-b classes in january, thats gonna help alot with gettin in with a dept around here for me, you should check out firehire illinois website, even more departments on there that are not on public safety recruitment site, Batavia does continous recruitment, they hold your app for up to a year till the city tells them that they can test and hire new ff's, the setup is SWEET if you get in, and it too is entry level, but you start out as part time, if ya want ill send ya the info. keep ur head up! our departments are out there bro :) happy thanksgiving and STAY SAFE!
