About Me:
Hi all
I am a firefighter in Fjardabyggd east Iceland.
It is a small fire- and EMS service that was volunteer but in 2007 was made in to full payed serves. We serve 2 small towns.
We are stationer between the 2 towns and close to big aluminum smelter

Later I will tell you what equipment we have in station and photos but we have 3 ambulances (1 is a backup) 3 firetrucks/engine and 1 tanker.

We have:
Renault Kerax 19 ton 4x4 - more info in my photo albums
2 Ford Econoline ambulances the 3rd one is Sprinter

Ok.... got some photos of our equipment/Apparatus in my album.
I started as volunteer Search and rescue from 1994 and am still part of Ice-sar.
I started as volunteer firefighter in 1996.
In 1999 I went to Fort Williams in Scotland and learned Commercial diving. Then in 2003 (if I remember right) I learned Public safety Diving which is search and rescue/recovery Diving.
I started as payed firefighter and EMT 17 Mai 2007 and learned EMT-B after I started there.
