- About Me:
- Spent a lot of time travelling and rockclimbing, then skiing both front and backcountry.I got my feet wet in the rigging world doing occasional camera rigging jobs and stunt coordinating work. I moved to yosemite and then spent four years living in Yosemite Valley where I worked for YOSAR. I moved to Lake Tahoe and skied a bunch but I really wasn't happy still. I kind of took a break to go to paramedic school which then landed my fire job. I am currently ranked engineer but still function as a firefighter (we rotate engineer of the day), transporting paramedic and paramedic preceptor. I teach for a local paramedic program as well as local fire academies and rescue classes. Currently teaching a lot of confined space stuff both for fire and industry. I am a avid rigger, always working to progress my skill, mainly concerned these days with adapting things from the industrial rigging world and how it can relate to the rescue world. I have been building several scenarios based around tower rescue for my response district. I am a single dad of a five years old girl and I spend most of my time when I am away from work with her. After suffering my a on the job repetitive injury I am starting to make a little headway with getting back to full strength. I just started sea kayaking mainly for the fitness reasons but I do find it a little relaxing. For the past six months I have been running a small ebay business selling belts for wildland pants, which is sometimes called a smokejumpers belt. http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/offpistekw
