About Me:
Living in Phoenix all me life has been great. The furthest I have ever lived from the Valley is Flagstaff in Northern AZ where I attended NAU. I was a proud Lumber Jack until I had to live in Flagstaff in the Winter above 7,000 feet. Blizzard conditions were nice the day before snowboarding, other wise too cold. I am the 6th of Nine Children and my folks are still together going on 40 years. My dad still lives in the same house where he was raised and then bought from his mom for $18K and then raised his 9 kids. It was onlu a 3 bedroom house so he did add on a 2nd story mostly with his own two hands. Our family misses Anthony, my brother two years my Sr who committed suicide in May '00. He was several guys best friend and was the life of the party. He used to drive a '73 International Scout and then a '67 VW FastBack. He worked at UPS and made a T-shirt w/ Pimp spinning a box on his index finger under the words United Pimp Soldier. He was very creative and taught me that variety is the spice of life. We never knew he was depressed until it was too late. Please reach out to anyone in your circle of friends and family who seems dettached and no longer talks about future plans and ask them if something is wrong. If they nothing is wrong then tell them how much you love them and ask them why you are concerned based on their change in behavior. Make an effort to include them and do not take no for an answer. EMS is what I want to do, and the Phoenix Fire Department is my ultimate goal. I recently interview with Tempe Fire and have not heard back from them about a 2nd interview. I just got my test score from my Phx Written and past w/ 87/100. That should be good enough for an interview. Now I need to work on the interviewing because Phx looks for specific answers. Until I get hired by PFD I will most likely work in an ER or on a private rescue. I also have lots of classes I sill need to take like FIRE 1&2, HazMat, ECG and Pharmacology. My wife still works for Enterprise where she is the only mother Branch Manager in Phx. Very demanding job but she does an amazing job considering she is 8 1/2 months pregnant w/ our 1st son. I know she would like to do something else too. I left Enterprise after 9 years. EMS was just too important to ignore. Hopefully next time I update my bio I will change my employer from Testing To PFD, the #1 Fire Department in the country.
