Fort Rucker is a U.S. Army installation located in Southeast Alabama. Fort Rucker serves as the home of Army Aviation and trains all Army helicopter pilots from entry level through advanced airframes. Fort Rucker Fire & Emergency Services, (FRFES) is the largest fire department in the Army operating from 21 stations with a staffing of 189 civilians and 44 military firefighters. FRFES provides structural, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting, EMS, HazMat/CBRNE, and technical rescue response services to the Fort Rucker community.
