We’ve received many requests for more information on how to post videos on site, so here’s a quick run-through of procedure.
Supported operating systems:
• Windows Vista
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
• Windows ME
• Mac OS X 10.3.9+ (Universal)
Supported browsers:
• FireFox 1.0+ on Windows
• Internet Explorer 5.5+ on Windows
• Safari 2.0+ on Mac
(Note: You may need to downgrade (2.0 seems to work better than 3.0), you can download it here.)
Instructions for Mac & Windows
1. First, go to the FireLink Video Page
2. Look at the right side of your screen, you should see a display that looks like this:

3. Type in the “Title” and “Description” of the Video.
4. Hit “Next.”
5. A white box will appear. Hit “Browse My Computer” in the middle of the box.
6. Retrieve the video from where is it saved in the computer.
7. The beginning frame of the video will appear.
8. If the video is longer than five minutes, edit it down using the yellow scrolls at the bottom.
9. You can now watch the video or you can choose to go ahead and upload it.
10. To upload, press the upload button underneath the screen.
11. Once it is finished uploading, click “Submit.”
If you need to download the video from the web:
Note: FireLink does not support copyright infringement. Please do not steal material that is not your own.
1. Go to http://www.videodl.org/
2. Paste the URL (where the video is being hosted) into the slot next to “Get It!”
3. Right Click on “Download Link” and go to “Save Download As…”
4. Save the file on your computer in a supported format (see above)
As a disclaimer, these instructions are for videos that you, as a user, own full copyright to. FireLink is not responsible for copyright infringement within user generated/uploaded content. In addition, VideoEgg routinely scans for copyright infringement which includes soundtracks. If you have uploaded a video that includes copyrighted music, it may be removed by VideoEgg.
