Very nice bible. I got mine after my first call and that chaplin ordered one for me. Had it engraved with my name and radio number. This will be something that I will have forever and something that my future kids will love to look at.

Before I bought this Bible I had a worn and tattered NIV student Bible. I states things in a way I hadn't thought of yet. The stories and extras in the back really help me connect firefighting to my christian beliefs. Plus this Bible has been left in my turnout pockets, shuffeled around on the rescue and engines and left at the station, and it doesn't have a mark on it from that. It also kinda grabs other firefighters attention when they see a Bible for firefighters they realize that christianity isn't a whimpy thing and that even though they're supposed to be "macho" they can still have a relationship with Jesus

Something that A firefighter should carry with em all the time..

Why would anyone in the fire service be without this. I have read it about and the special prayers really help.

fits in bunkers and/or gear bag well. Needs a little water proofing so I put mine in a ziplock.

I received this as a gift from my Chief....I love it and use it frequently when i'm feeling blue, or down, or just need somewhere to turn to after a rough call at 3am.

A personal favorite

I am new to the fire field, and before that I wanted to be a priest. So I am picky with Bibles and always prefered the Catholic version, but this Bible is compack and is an awesome translation of the original texts. A must for every fire fighter.
I recommend this and the police one, to all in the Community.
