Our engine purchased in 1996 has not given us any trouble to speak of. Most of the issues involved electrical problems and communication issues stemming from the electrical problems. The 5 man cab with 3 SCBAs in the seat provides a "quick attack" once on scene and the 250' jump line on the front provides an easy initial attack. The interior room is excellent for donning gear without bumping into the other 3 guys in the back with you. I needed to update since our unit is now in the shop with transmission issues. I'm not 100% sure of what occurred, but I think it had something to do with the driver training for the new volunteers we had just prior to the failure.
