Although Res-Q-Jack has several different flavors of jacks and struts, as well as saws and straps, this review is for the 'Space Saver'. The system I got a chance to work with contains 2 jacks, 2 struts, and straps for each (total of 4). The system is very easy for a couple of companies to set up (we had 2 engine companies at the training - 3 person companies - and the system took on avg. about 6 minutes to set up). Although practice is necessary with them to become proficient (such is life with all tools) these are fairly 'firefighter proof'. They are made very durable, which makes them heavy to carry. Although they are suprisingly heavy, the space savings they offier in the rig is great. Overall, I would recommend them to any crew; definately NOT a waste of money.
These things are just cool. I was a bit skeptical at first, but no more. I have used the Res-Q-Jack in dozens of applications. I am definitely satisfied with this product.
Used this at an Extrication school and think my department needs some.
We just purchased a res-q-jack set, and I love it. It's extremely versatile and can be modified to handle just about any job.
