Old workhorse. Can be converted into a fire fighting aircraft. The Details say it all.
Originally 2.2 million. Probably under 1 million now days. **In the few sites I have found selling them, they mostly list for around $375K, but they are 1H's and not 1N's. They were produced from 1968-1978. Here is a good site with lots of info: http://www.answers.com/topic/bell-212?cat=technology
Just a cool lookin' chopper.
Should have more of these in service. The best Bell ever made!
Hueys are the best possible air craft for these jobs. It's battlefield proven, it's no wonder it's the single most oldest Helicopter series still in use in the military; I'd say nothing else in civilian hands measure up, but thats a personal opinion...
best known workhorse in the military...still be flown thirty years later
Man does these guyes ever help you out when you need it. one day it is my dream to be a flight medic but i am a long way from that till then keep up the the good work
nice bird!!!
This is the bird we've used for deep water drilling platform medivacs. Refueling once on the platform was the norm due to the flight distance being close to the max. Still an all around excellent bird for medivacs. A lot less cramped than most land based medical choppers and more space for medical supplies and equipment.
I'll take two! LOL Very versitle. Great for medivacs
Yeah, great for..........wel, just about anything.
Kind of like a Harley or a Jeep. You don't need to look to know what's coming.
Noisy but nice. Wish we could afford one. :(
Traded mine in on a Stealth Bomber
