| Description: | Scott Airpacks and masks. |
Our department uses Scott Airpacks. I have found them to be reliable, durable, and have the best technology.
Scott is also the brand my department uses. We all really like them and will choose there carbon fiber bottles over our heavy metal ones any day.
My dept uses the 4.5's with carbon bottles, and I must say they are excellent. They function very simply, are extremely easy to change the bottles, and they are very durable. I also like how Scott doesn't update their masks very often, so they are compatible on all the new packs, and on some of the older ones.
Scott is a good pack we have 4.5's in our dept. They are alittle pricey when it comes to added options but they have good options. only problems we are having with them are the batteries. They seem to eat batties alot but some of it my be due to operator error. Not my favorite pack but the ones that we bought due to under bidding.
Great airpack. The harness is more comfortable than those I've worn in the past and the carbon fiber bottles makes you feel like you are carrying air on your back (oh, wait, you are). Seriously, the padding is in all the right places, the heads up display is easily viewable, and the optional voice amplifier makes communication much easier - even works well with a radio. The only downside that I have found is the battery life seems a bit short.
Great SCBA! Both my departments use Scott's, these airpacks are very dependable and user friendly!
Scotts are the only packs that our department has ever had, very durable and lightweight.
I have used Scott brand air packs for 99% of my career and will never use anything else. They work and are comfortable (Air Pack Fifties), and I like the low profile masks that wont get snagged.
New composite cylanders are great
scott is by far the best brand out there, may weigh a little more but worth it
