This is a useful book for responding to hazardous materials calls.. It gives information on how to handle them.
We just studied Haz Mat Ops in our Firefighter 1 class. This book is easy to use and I give an A+.
Haven't had to use it but I am prepared to use it if needed.
Have used this several time and it is handy for the initial stages of mitigation. I suggest learning how to properly use this very handy guide.
2008 version is out now...good starting point to build on. Waiting to see if there will be corrections that need to be madse as in the past.
Extremely easy to use--print large enough for us "older" volunteers. Just got notice from our EMA that the 2008 books are finally here!!!
Good lay out and use of color coded pages. It helps with the new people to go through the book. The pictures of the trailors needs to larger and up dated.
borrowed my wife's copy and its helping me learn in advance of joining----interesting and helpful
Very easy to use. Don't need it everyday but it's there when I need it
great book
very good book to have
great book to have. i even carry one in my personal rig.
The new 2008 edition is even more user friendly!
I would have to say the 2008 is a better book. They both work, but 2008 has some more recent stuff in it.
How many of you actually have the 2008 book, where did you get it, and what is different about it? I have one, but was told they wouldn't be available to the general FF public until October. Looking at it online does not count.
