The webbing in the knee pads is a great idea and a lot of the guys on my department put their webbing there but it destroys the knee pads and the Velcro that holds them onto your pants. I had the webbing in for a while until it started destroying my knee pads.

I like the PASS thats a new one for me. A good drill to pass some time at the engine house, try blindfolding your slef and have a buddy call out for the equiptment thats in your gear. Knowing what you have is only good if you know were it's at. This drill could save your life.

I like to keep my rope, webbing, extra flashlight and hardwere on my right side "RESCUE RIGHT" all my other tools are in my left side pockets.

Never thought about the left versus right pocket and what in there. Sitting here at the computer I realized that your right with your statement, my pockets are set the same way. Rescue equipment, rope, carabiner, webbing all in the right side pocket. Left side has a multi-tool cresent wrench, leatherman knife with multi-tools in it, window punch, extrication gloves, four wedges (door/sprinkler), & a spanner wrench. Spare pack of smokes, lighter and rubber gloves in the inside pocket of the bunker coat.
