Posted 8 months ago Does anybody have an inventory system in place for their PPE? I work in supply for my fire department and am trying to inventory gear for 60 members plus what is in my supply room. I am leaning towards a barcoding system. However, my local tech guy doesn't know how in the world to put barcodes on bunker gear. I am thinking cloth barcodes. If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks. |

| Posted 8 months ago Doesn't sound like a bad idea, The only consern would be the price and the probability of damages to the bar code. |

| Posted 6 months ago Does anyone have any type of inventory system in place, not just for gear but, truck lists, communications, etc? I was promoted to equipment officer and I am trying to implement a system to track all of our equipment. I would like to know what all is out there, keeping in mind low budgets!!! :).

| Posted 6 months ago We use a commercial program called Fire Programs http://www.fireprograms.com/. It works well for inventory, member information, training tracking, hose and hydrant testing, and NFIRS reporting. Ross Caston
