Posted 2 months ago I have fought fire in Scott, Draiger, MSA, ISI, and a few others and I prefer the "MSA-ICM/TRX" I am a big guy and the frame fits my back just right. ACB

Posted 2 months ago So far, Scott, mostly because I freakin hate belt mounted regulators. Our school had older MSA's though, so hopefully new ones have mask mounted regulators. If thats true, then I'll probably switch my favorite to MSA because the backpacks fit really well and don't squish my chest (ladies, you know what I'm talking about) as much as Scott's.

Posted about 1 month ago I started out ion MSA, but we switched about 6 years ago to Interspiro, I like them alot, but they did take some getting used to.

Posted about 1 month ago With Scott, I do like the light up air markers in the mask that tell you how much air you have, and the automatic PASS as soon as you go on air. Also the electronic air monitor on the right shoulder. There also seems to be less hastle with straps than MSA. Also the Voice amp in the mask is a plus. The bad thing about Scott is that the Batteries used to run the packs have a short life span due to all the electronics. The thing I like about MSA is that it's simple and easy to use. One dept I work on uses Scott and the other dept uses MSA. Too bad we can't use both at the same time. "Semper Fi Do or Die" United States Marine Corps

Hmmm...very interesting point. We don't have any ladies on our department, so it's never been an issue (or even thought of I don't think)- but I guess that should be taken into consideration. |

Posted about 1 month ago Department uses MSA and Scott. If I had to pick one or the other it would be MSA. If I had my choice however it would definitely be Draeger
