Posted 4 months ago only thing that distinguishes us between each other is our nametages on our coats and our helmet numbers rank and color, asst. chief-white, capt-white, lt.'s-red, ffs black...we just have a thing to where the probie gets to know that they sit in the rear driver seat and is the hyrdrant man for awhile and does not sit in rear officer or backup man seats for awhile.

Posted 4 months ago I have seen many ways of doing this on a fire scene. 1. Green Stripe on the back of a helmet (2” Tape) 2. If using a “NY’er helmet we gave them front shields with an orange passport the said Probationary on it. 3. They used different color turnout. FF had the tan/gold gear and probies had black Omnis Cedo Domus

Posted 2 months ago We all wear the same Helmets and gear but the only difference is.... Everyone who is over 150 cert has bright yellow with silver refective triangle on their helmets, less than 150 cert has bright orange and silver reflective triangles and explorers/juniors just have a dull yellow triangles. "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps
