| Posted 2 months ago Not sure if I can give you a lot of information, but Dallas is a very good department to work for. I know 2 people that work there now, and one person who is retired. They all recommend it, and say that Dallas treated them very well. Dallas runs ambulances out of their stations, and require FF/paramedics. They do their own academy, even if you're certified. And I think they train you for paramedic. If I'm not mistaken, someone was saying the other day, that either Dallas or Mesquite was soon going to hire 500 people.
