Posted 5 months ago As most fire fighter i am looking to get onto the best fire departmnet in the world fdny. Right now i am only 15 but i already have 3 year of on scene exp as a junior firefighter and on the ambulance. i would like to know what i would have to do in order to get onto fdny. | Posted 5 months ago All I can tell you is don't strive to get on a certain dept, strive to be the best FIREFIGHTER you can be. Learn as much as you can, Listen to what everyone has to say, that doesn't mean you have to do what they tell you, just listen and you can learn so much. Get a college degree- choose Fire Science if you like, a business degree helps in the upper managment, be physically fit. You are competing with thousands of others that "Want to be on NYFD". |

| Posted 5 months ago thanks for the advise i just really want to be on fdny it has been mt dream since forever. If i dont get on fdny i am still applying at warwick, west warwick, cranston providence boston new port jamestown and maybe one or two in conn. |
