Starting Pay: $19.23 to $21.49 hr depending on qualifications – Maximum Pay: $27.15 hr.



Flexible Hours: Monday-Thursday 0900-1500



TriCom Central Dispatch, the public safety (9-1-1) communications center for St Charles, Geneva and Batavia, is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Administrative Assistant.  This position is responsible for performing receptionist, clerical, and administrative work for the agency director and deputy director.  Greeting visitors, receiving incoming phone calls; composing and typing emails, letters, memos, and reports; maintaining organized computer and paper files are among the primary job duties.



Other duties include recording, typing and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining 911 dispatch schedules, employee time sheets, attendance records and personnel files; creating and maintaining spreadsheets for accounting and budgeting purposes; and assisting with the preparation of the annual operating budget.



High school diploma required.  Associates degree preferred, with coursework in English composition, secretarial/clerical procedures and word processing and spreadsheet software applications; and a minimum of 2 years secretarial experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential function of the job.



Knowledge of English composition; spelling, grammar, punctuation, and conventional formats, designs and styles used in letters, memos, envelopes, meeting minutes, reports and other documents is necessary.  Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel to an intermediate or advanced level.  Must be able to navigate the internet and find information via search engines.  Basic mathematical computation skills are a must.
