Alright, heres the place to carry on any Marine Corps and Navy rivalry.

Here you guys go, a place where you can share your stories and conflicts. Civilans probably will have no clue to what's going on but that's okay.  Just remember that we are on the same side here.

How do Marines find land mines?  Cover their ears and stomp the ground with one foot forward.

Well i'm glad to see that other services are getting envolved. Is there no support for the Marine Corps?  The Marine Corps has to do everyones jobs. That's why we are Air, Land and Sea.... And there is nothing better than a Marine and his rifle, with that said there is nothing better than a Marine Sniper. Ooh Rah......... Chesty would be proud.

Not to mention the fact that we train longer and harder. We get the job done! But I'm not going to sit here and act like I know what other branches do. I've only been in the Marine Corps so I can't answer or discuss about other services. I do however know a little bit about the Navy but that's because i've worked with them and They are always around the base.

Actually I build my own bridges. I was a 1371 Combat Engineer. There's no doubt about it that our services need each other.

My father was a Corpsman back in Nam.

Marines were invented so that real sailors wouldn't have to get their feet dirty! LOL.

Think you got mixed up. That  would be the NAVY SEALS.  Oh! And you forgot the underwater part.

Actually the Marine Corps bootcamp consist of Navy Seal and Army Ranger survival training for some part of that. Marine Snipers go through more intense training than Navy Seals. At least I think so, I'm not sure but I know that they kick ass! I would have a Marine Sniper and a recon team behind me any day over anything else. Marine Corps also does underwater incurtions, it's called Marine Corps recon. You should go look it up and find information about Marine Corps snipers and recon.

By the way the Silent Drill Team does kick ass! I have never seen them preform but I'm sure it would be one hell of a show. There are very strict requirements to become a member of the silent drill team. Certain height and weight requirements.

I agree with emtjad, we who were in the military all served and many of our brothers and sisters paid the ultimate price. We have many more who are injured and hurting.  We take a laugh at each other lightly.  But, we take a very serious noteof our Men and Women in the service.  Regardless of the service, we pay homage to them, and pray every day that they willcome home safely.  We need to know that.  But, seriously the Navy is only service, the Marines just use the Navy to ride inluxury and eat our chow.  I don't know about the groundpounders or the airdales, or the coasties or the jarheads.  The Swabbiesrule. (Just kidding).  If you wear a uniform with pride and do your duty, you get my vote. God Bless you all.

This for the Corpsman out there. Where were you stationed at? I know my father during Nam was actually stationed at Great lakes Naval base. He seen some crazy shit when he was there. He said that they would send wounded marines to that hospital and he seen alot of nasty shit. He told me that one time he rode in an elevator with a dead Marine that they were sending to the basement in the morgue and all the sudden the dead Marine rose up out of the sheets. He said that scared the hell of him and he pissed his pants.

He was always hesitant with me when he found out I was going into the Marine Corps. He has never liked the fact that i'm a Marine. Well of course I'm out now but then he didn't want nothing to do with me. I guess it's because of the things he saw in Nam.
