Posted 4 months ago Have any First Response units not get paged or get paged 5-10 minutes after the ambulance have been paged to a house next to the station? |

Posted 4 months ago Sometimes our ambulance crews get on scene and then find out they need help loading, so thats when we tone our first responders after they get on-scene. Most of the time our first resp. get toned with us, esp if it's chest pain, SOB, trauma, etc......

Posted 4 months ago Around here when EMS gets dispatched for an emergency call they also dispatch first responders from the fire dept and rescue squad. Some times EMS gets dispatched to routine calls and needs assistance once they get there and we get paged out. Quam bene vivas refert, non quam diu.

Posted 3 months ago there could possbly be a lot of factors that affect yor page time, it could be that the dispatcher is still on the phone with the pt or thier family and have simply just not had the chance to page you. also the ambulance crew might not think they need the extra help.. I know here sometimes well dispatch an ambulance somewhere, then automaticaly page out a rescue squad and thet ambulance crew will radio back to sigal 8 or to have us call squad back.. I DONT JUST REACH FOR MY DREAMS... I CHASE AFTER THEM...

Posted 3 months ago here, if the call is in an area where we cross with a dept that has a QRS, the QRS is dispatched. otherwise its just us and a medic.
