Posted 3 months ago Well it's funny that you mention this as I have been waiting for someone to start a post on this perticular subject. Yes, my station is haunted! I have seen and heard countless number of weird things. I've even seen almost full body aparitions up stairs in my station. Even are local law enforcement has had a run in with something here. "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps

Posted 3 months ago if you can name it, it has happend here every thing from footsteps, to doors opening, voices, apparitions, tv cuts on and off, bay doors roll up and down by thierself. the next day after i got on the fire dept i came to the station to sit for a little wile. i was watching tv and the engine bay door swung open and then shut. i thought some one had came in. so i waited to see who it was and no one came in i asked my chief the next day does anything wierd ever happen around here. he asked like what. i told him what happend he laughed and told me it was just black roaming around. turns out black started our first fire station back in 1959. and he hasnt left me alone since then if you don't like what I say use the big red X in the top right hand corner!

Posted 3 months ago Our hall is haunted by Spook. Our hall was built on the mortuary of the mining town. Everyone has had a run in with him from doors opening and closing, footsteps, siren going off without being dispatched, things moved while you are there, items turning on and off to even knocking someone down. As long as we talk to him when things start we dont have a problem but if you dont you have the chance of getting a bump or bruise. Stay safe and remember YOU are the most important one at a scene.

Posted 3 months ago The same here. We will be having classroom training and we will hear something like a shovel being dragged in the bay. We will go and check it out and nothing would be there. We have heard our bay doors open but when we check it out, there not. We hear a girl that screams in the basement ( which we don't have a basement) The upstair offices are where most of the action takes place. We will hear someone going up and down the stairs, but no one is there. I have been told by local police who runs out of the same building, was watching tv around midnite and saw a black figure walk from behind the tv towards the kitchen, at which he drawed his weapon thinking it was an intruder, but nothing was ever found. That same night around 2 am, he saw it again and it happened exactly the same way. We will here someone knocking on doors, light flickers, and shadows. I'm not scared of who or what it is. We call it George. I think our Fire station was a post office or something during the civil war. Which was used in the biggest civil war battle in the history of Kentucky. Battle of Perryville, Ky. Supposedly we are called a ghost town, which I haven't seen anything any where else but here in my station. Ghost Hunters is an awsome show. TAPS is awsome. "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps

Posted 3 months ago We don’t have any ghosts, heck my station was built in the mid sixties. What we did have was a faulty cable TV box. It would turn off at 23:10 every night. You’d turn it back on and off it would go again at 23:14. That - in turn had the “Old Timers” telling the probies and students we had a ghost. It was eventually replaced and we lost a lot of laughs.

Posted 3 months ago i so love this subject ... i should post the pictures i have of me and some of my familiy taken at a christmas get together (ok it's not at work but i've had a few experiences) with orbs in them. in fact, at the shelter ... i was alone (just like in the movies and of course, since i couldn't point it out to anyone immediately!!!) sitting at the front desk on the computer writing reports. i have my hair up most of the time, like in the pictures i have on here. i can see into the garage which was turned into the kennels. i saw a tall black figure with those old time large rimmed hats. 'he' was walking into the kennel area where i couldn't see. there was ONE dog inside the shelter and he was on a quarantine. i turned my head to see if someone was there ... because if i were to scream no one would hear me (hehe yeh i could die and no one would know ... for a few days). anyway, you know how quail and ducks freeze and await for the coast to clear?? that's how i was for about 40seconds. my eyes are moving around as if they can hear but i'm still. as my eyes are focused on my computer and the sounds around me, from the corner of my eye i see the same figure leaving the garage, i was barely able to see it EYES ON as it left. i meantioned this to my supervisor the next day. i started off with "you're going to think i'm nuts ...." he wasn't surprised. he said the two previous employees also experienced interesting occurances at the shelter. i just spent like an hour trying to find the figure i saw ... of course i can't find a link for one. however, there are a couple guys i worked with when i was with county who have their own ghost hunters site. does anyone else here 'ghost hunt'???? (sorry if i'm way off topic) LEAVE BRITTANY SPEARS ALONE, RIGHT NOW!!... I MEAN IT

Posted 3 months ago no I dont have any info I need to do a check on the place and see what if antthing has happend. I do not see him often just every so often. He likes to just run around. mostly i just catch him out of the corner of my eye but on occasion i have seen him standing at the end of the hall way, kinda creepy. and once as a shadow by the tv. my husband once thought he was one of our boys untill herealizes they were fast asleep and that he was a little shorter. and the occasional hair on the back of your neck. I think he is just stuck.

Posted 3 months ago I hear rumors and stories of local fire stations that are haunted. Even Blodget hospital in Grand Rapids has it's ghost stories. I've never personally experienced anything like that, but I think it would be cool. I like the show Ghost Hunters also.

Posted 3 months ago i've never heard of GHOST HUNTERS (what channel??) i thought "PARANORMAL STATE" and that other show similar only focussing on children with paranormal contact gifts would be good shows ... not all that thrilled about them and it seems they focus more on trying to spook the TV watcher than show what's actually going on. i think this stuff is interesting and i'm curious about it based on some experiences i've had in the past .... LEAVE BRITTANY SPEARS ALONE, RIGHT NOW!!... I MEAN IT

Posted 3 months ago Ghost Hunters is a show about The Atlantic Paranormal Society or TAPS. http://www.scifi.com/ghosthunters/ An offshoot of that show, Ghost Hunters International, with some of the members from TAPS have ventured abroad in search of more "world famous" haunted sites.

Posted 3 months ago That was a great video. Ghost hunting is something I would like to get into. I always have witnessed strange things and I would like to figure them out. TAPS kicks ass though! I love their show os SciFi. Maybe I can get them to come down to my station? Alot of the guys at the Fire station never like going in by themselves. I've been there one time by my self and just felt this heavy feeling when I went in there. It really freaked me out when I was sitting in the office and I heard a shovel being dragged out in the bay. And when I went out there, the shovel was on the rack and not touched. Thinking about that sends chills down my spine. "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps

| Posted 3 months ago There is something going on in my station too. I will leave food in the fridge, and when I go get it a few days later its gone....weird. LMAO Just kidding! We have a brand new station, only 5 years old so we wont have any ghosts for some time now. But I love all of those shows and watch them whenever I can myself. I just recently watched the "Ghost Hunters International" one a few weeks ago where they witnessed a spook in an old abbey that scared the fecal matter out of them, that was a good show! | Posted 3 months ago you don't have to have an old station for it to be haunted, our station is five years old, but the ground we built our station on is the same ground the original station was built on. if you don't like what I say use the big red X in the top right hand corner! |

| Posted 3 months ago TAPS is a pretty good show, but like Paranormal State, they have been caught doing some questionable things, or even faking results at times. But I am still faithful to TAPS. GHI just plain sucks. Maybe it's the guy that leads them. They visit some awesome places, but they don't seem to be that good. And the other one, Most haunted, with the British folks - absolute joke. They have faked everything and admitted it. If anyne has any legitimate stuff in Texas, contact me. I lead a team similar to TAPS. Jeff Draper

Posted 3 months ago How about this one! There's a certain main fire station that I know of that is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a long-deceased firefighter. It is rumored that just a second or so BEFORE the bells tap in for a box alarm, that those on duty hear footsteps & one of the sliding poles shake as if someone was indeed on it. It may be just folklore, but it makes your hair rise.

Posted 3 months ago My home station is just spooky at night. One of my buddies who used to be out of there thinks it was built on an ancient Indian burial ground. I just think it's the layout. Long corridors with blind corners and such. It just feels like someone is there or could be there, even when you're the only one there at 330. They say one of the cemeteries downtown is haunted by a murdered lady... http://theshadowlands.net/ghost/ Check out the index. You can search by state then towns in alphabetical order to find your ghouls.

Posted 3 months ago I am on the same dept. as firemanjoe and i can confirm what he is saying, numerous things have happened to me too. Its really freaky and i WILL NOT come to the dept at night by myself. When everybody else leaves i leave. The ghost he is talking about, everybody has always called Black, that was his nickname when he was on the dept. He was the charter cheif when our dept was organized. He just hangs around out here and only comes around at night time when there are just a couple of people here. We have come in sometimes and stuff will be moved all around, and things of that nature. We had his pic hanging on the wall in our old station, and one of our members that is now retired, made them take it down along time ago because the eyes on the picture would follow you when you walked by it. So now his picture just sits in a drawer and nobody messes with it , and it will probably never get hung up agian.

| Posted 3 months ago when was TAPS caught faking results? I'm curious to know because I love the show. I'd hate to know that they are faking results.

Posted 3 months ago A little background on the city my FD is in. It's a small town called Perryville. It's in Kentucky. one of the largest civil war battles was fought right here in Perryville. The street that my FD is on is what was know as "main street". All the original buildings are still there. My FD was actually built back then but was originally a post office or something. Main street is the original part of Perryville that sat on the river. You can watch Montgomery Gentry video "my town" and you will see what I'm talking about, it was filmed in Perryville. But anyways, pretty much every building was used as a hospital during the civil war. I don't know if it has anything to do with my station being haunted but I do know that there are strange sightings everywhere in this small town, especially at my FD. "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps
