Posted 2 months ago THIS IS OPEN TO ALL THAT WILL BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN A FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER AT THE PARKWAY FIRE & RESCUE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN SPRUCE PINE N.C. CONTACT PERSON WILL BE DAVID MITCHELL. PHONE 828-766-2536. PROCEEDS GO TO SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF NORTH CAROLINA. IF ANYBODY WANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PLEASE CALL OR IN THE ARE PLEASE COME BY AND CHEER THE FIREFIGHTERS ON. IT WILL BE 6 EVENTS FOR ALL FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO COMPETE IN. THIS IS TO HELP THE SPECIAL KIDS IN THE NORTH CAROLINA REGION........................THANKS TO ALL AND BE SAFE OUT THERE. |

| Posted 2 months ago and john this is what the challenge consists of. hose relay, turnout gear donning race, truck pull, make and brake, bucket brigade, event main challenge team relay. this event is alot of fun and i encourage anyone to prticipate in it. it also goes to benifitt a good cause. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Well the Challenge has come and gone. The Banner Elk VFD has won the Challenge and brought the trophy to thier station.
