Go to www.emtb.com It has a bunch of material. It covers anything from vocabulary to a test to prepare you for you national regestry. I just passed my NR on the first responder level, using this website. I too didnt have the time to study, but it helped me considerbly.

I AM GOING TO TAKE MY NREMT TEST IN 9 DAYS.. I WILL HAVE TO CHECK OUT THAT WEBSITE. ASLO ACCORDING TO THE NREMT WEBSITE THE TEST COVERS 6 CATEGORIES.. IT SPENDS A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF QUESTION ON EACH CATEGORY..

CARDIAC - 19%

TRAUMA - 19%

MEDICAL - 17%

OB - 17%

PEDS - 16%

AMBULANCE OPERATIONS - 15%

ALL TOGETHER THAT IS 100% OF THE TEST MATERIAL.. SO FAR EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO SAID THEY FAILED ON CARDIAC AND OB AND PEDS.

I DONT JUST REACH FOR MY DREAMS... I CHASE AFTER THEM...

Good Luck you guys!!!!!!!!!   I didn't take my NR but I know the test for EMT was tough enough.

Study the OB, and Peds parts well because that is 2 that you don't deal with much.  Gather any information you can on Cardiac becaus that is something you will be dealing with all the time.

I know on our State test (IN) there was a lot of Haz Mat and WMD.

I give the same advise. Stay 1 chapter a head of each class. The class becomes a review. You also have the chance to ask what you don't understand.

One thing that really helped me when I was starting out (many long years ago) was flash cards.  Of course, back then we had to make our own, nowdays you can buy them.  Carry them with you, sitting there waiting in traffic...look over them.  Waiting in line at the bank...look over them.  You'd be surprised how much you can retain.  As a EMT and Paramedic instructor in the state of Texas, that is what I tell my students.

I'm in my third week of classes and so far so good, but I am always looking for something else to supplement the reading.  The website sounds great.  There is also a website that goes with our text (Brady Emergency Care 11th Edition).  It is www.prenhall.com/limmer.  Its broken down by chapters and has some good test questions.  NH is a National Registry state so this website should help with the studying.
