I have had a couple emails sent to me about volunteers who have recently been certified as a career firefighter, wheather it be getting thier 400 hours of training or passing ifsac II, having issues getting on a paid department. what is your advise. if you have been hired and working for a full time paid department what are the details of your sucsess. how did you get where you are. volunteers are the ground works of the fire department, why has it become so difficult for a volunteer who is a certified firefighter to get them selves a paid job. Give us you oppinions.
