Posted 7 months ago Not to sound like a royal pain in the butt but PLEASE READ THE OLDER POSTS. There are so many new members that are REPOSTING the same threads that are in the Kitchen just under different names. Please reread the old posts. It's nice if you find something funny, if you want it to be bumped go right ahead but please stop cluttering the forums with things that have already been posted! |

| Posted 7 months ago Firerush said: the kitchen is a place to post almost anything that isnt fire related... and what she means is BEFORE YOU POST A NEW DISCUSSION TOPIC, CHECK OUT ALL THE ONES THAT ARE ALREADY POSTED TO SEE IF THE ONE YOU WANT TO POST ISNT ALREADY UP, does that help you out? |

| Posted 7 months ago Mo, kudos to you. I'm just sick of trying to look for new posts and seeing reposted stuff that I've already seen/read elsewhere on the site. I wish there was a way to indicate which posts were new for when you log in but since there isn't this is a major pain in the butt. That's part of the reason why I haven't been joining in conversations and whatnot lately. Not worth having to shift through all the reposts to get to the real ones when I have so much other things to do. |

| Posted 7 months ago TOPIC (top tabs) FORUMS (one of the tabs) THE KITCHEN (one of the forum sub choices) POSTS (tons of discussion topics) Each category in the forums has sub categories with usually multiple pages of discussion topics. I agree on the many repeats. Especially prominent are : "You know you're a . . . . ", "What to do to become a FF", SILVER-2, you can click on the "more" button at the bottom of the recent posts to see listings in time order, but i agree there are too many reposts. For the new folks, there are tons of pages of discussions and posts that you should look through before throwing one out there. Jeff Draper

| Posted 7 months ago Silver on here Hey Chase, nice call on the Silver-2, she needed a nickname, and objected to being called She-thump ( I'm also known as Thumper) Oh well, giving her the puter back while I play with the new tv |

| Posted 7 months ago ....Silver-2? Can't I be Silver-1? BAH And I did not know that Chase. Thanks for the info on that. Still, maybe a good feedback thing to maybe make something on the forums themselves that indicate what are new posts and what aren't? Just a thought. And I so need to keep Silver off my account! |

| Posted 7 months ago LMAO. It can get confusing. I discussed this with an Admin, and they want to add a tab on the left side of the home page, or a forum, just for newbies. I am working on writing one up now. Jeff Draper

| Posted 7 months ago Well I've been to several forums before... Just a thought, but the coding to change the little icons to a different color or whatnot to indicate "new" shouldn't be too difficult? And nothing's more confusing than trying to carry on a conversation with Silver or me on the computer and us switching personalities constantly! |

| Posted 7 months ago True, but I think they will leave it the way it is for that. You will just have to click "more" under recent discussions to find it. You can also go to each forum for further lists in time sequence, but it is a pain. I find I miss alot of stuff when i'm not around, and have to do that to find it. otherwise i just follow the recent stuff on the front. Jeff Draper

| Posted 7 months ago Dang. You mean I gotta pay attention to posts? pft. But thanks for the info on the recent discussions tab. I have bad eyes so I don't always see things that should be clear to other people :) Thanks! |
