If you are planning to go to this summers municipal school you need to make hotel reservations ASAP. There will be three or four different events happening during that week. There will be a shortage of hotel rooms.

Only a month away.  Looks like I may be giving up my spot for another guy on our department who needs it more................

my husband went there a few years ago for their Stuctural Collaspe  course. He had a blast! If anyone new is going, check out the Dixie Chicken nearby. I havent been yet but it was my husband's favourite bar and it's very close to the college

The plan is to meet at the Dixie Chicken around 6:00 pm or so on sunday.  I'll make a "fire link" sign for what may be firelinks 1st annual event at A&M fire school....steve-0

We usually meet @ TX Roadhouse 4 dinner @ 6:00pm but we will be by afterwards.....will keep an eye out for the sign....we look forward to meeting U All.

yeah... the week is getting closer. i'll find out for sure if i get to go on Monday. If not, have a blast at the A&M fire school.

We'll be staying at the Comfort Suites.  Right now, we've got four rooms reserved, but it looks like we'll only be using three, so if someone wants the other, let the bidding begin!  Minimum bid is $100/night for a non-smoking suite with two queen beds.

My department generally sends several additional personnel up just for the apparatus and equipment expo, then we meet for dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  The four of us that are staying will meet ya'll at the Dixie Chicken after we finish dinner.

What is everyone taking this year?  One of my Captains and I are taking the ECA course, my Chief is taking the Class "A" Foam/CAFS course, and another firefighter is taking the Ag Rescue course.

Still waiting on confirmation but I think I will be taking Fire Officer VI, if that doesn't make it then PIO.  Can't wait to see everyone.  We are staying at the Hyatt Place.

Here is the lastest and greatest on what is to become the first annual FIRELINK get together at Texas A&M Summer Fire School.   We are to meet at the DIXIE CHICKEN at 1900 hours on Sunday the 20th of July.  FIRELINK wil be sending me a box of goodies to give away during the night.  Allison  from FIRELINK plans to post an  article about the nights event on the website.  I look foward to meeting all of you'll.  Feel free to email or call so we know how many people are going to show up.

Well it's good to see people talk about TX A&M fire school. My buddy Steve-O got me on fire Link and i just started to get all my info in.

Well it's my 20th year to attend fire school and my 10th year to instruct. What a great time every year to get to see all my friends and fellow FFs from all over the world!! If you attend this year come by the ARFF project and say hi!! We would love to sit and talk with all the FFs. Hope to see you there !!!!!

I was there at Disaster City (EOC Command) for a state grant seminar. Had to drive through the fire ground, disaster city, and past the fire station. I really wanted to be there learning about how to fight fire and do Haz-Mat, instead I was stuck in lectures. The chicken place is cool. Tall people watch out the ceilings are low!@!!!!!!!! OUCH!

Only 4 more days till Texas A&M fire school and 1st fire link convention! im taking FFII. hope to see yall there
